Colour the grey / Bunt ins grau

Outside its classic January-lead-grey, the Christmas-decoration is safely stored in the garage again, so it’s time to bring in a bit of colour:

Und wenigstens Bente hat nach meiner Dawanda-Wunschliste geguckt, sind diese Boxen nicht wunderhübsch?

Insomnia / Schlaflosigkeit

Last night I woke up from one of those not-really-nightmare-but-still-somewhat-bewildering dreams, the cat outside of the window loudly demanded entrance (and food) and, yes, I also felt the evenings’ cup of tea (or two), that’s why I got up at 3.30, wide awake. From experience I know there’s no point in going back to bed then, I won’t find sleep soon at that time of night, thus I stayed up and started experimenting with this tutorial recycled magazine wallet and the impressionen winter catalogue: 

That’s typical for what I do when I can’t get no sleep… well, I went to bed again after cutting and fell asleep rather quickly. Laminating and sewing was done in daylight, here are the first results: 

I wouldn’t recommend them as real wallets, they’re rather small and have no closures, but I think they’d be perfect as wrappings for gifts of money. 

Letzte Nacht wachte ich von einem nicht-wirklich-Albtraum-aber-dennoch-beunruhigend-en Traum auf, der Kater vor dem Fenster verlangte lautstark Einlass (und Futter) und ja, auch die ein, zwei Tassen Tee am Abend machten sich bemerkbar, deshalb stand ich auf um 3.30 Uhr nachts, hellwach. aus Erfahrung weiß ich, dass es für mich keinen Sinn macht gleich wieder ins Bett zu gehen, ich kann um diese Uhrzeit ohnehin nicht gleich einschlafen. Also blieb ich auf und experimentierte mit diesem Tutorial recycled magazine wallet und dem impressionen Winter Katalog. 

Sowas ist typisch für mich wenn ich keinen Schlaf finde… wobei ich nach dem Ausschneiden wieder ins Bett ging und schnell einschlief. Laminieren und nähen habe ich bei Tageslicht gemacht, hier sind die ersten Ergebnisse. 

Ich würde sie nicht wirklich als echte Portemonnaies empfehlen, klein und ohne Verschlüsse, aber als Verpackung für Geldgeschenke sind sie perfekt.
